Pelješac, a stunning island rich in forests, Mediterranean plants, vineyards and olive-groves. A true Mediterranean paradise is imbued in the character of the each island settlement. One of these settlements is a small, attractive village called Viganj situated near Orebić, a place with a long maritime tradition. There is an orchard as well as a botanical garden with numerous plants and fruit trees which were brought by the Pelješac seafarers. Viganj consists of several hamlets, the Saint John hill and an old church near a road. This place is special since precisely here ends the Pelješac channel. Small and interesting place Viganj today is recognized for its active tourism, surfing and other tourist attractions. Common wind maestral has made a genuine small miracle and turned Viganj into Croatian top surf destination for all adrenaline lovers.
