If you happen to be in Sinj or the Cetina region in August during the annual knights’ tournament Sinjska Alka, and the Feast of the Assumption of Mary, you’ll run into a lot of people, tourists and well-intentioned souls. However, October paints another picture. If you decide to visit the area at that time of year, you’ll witness the town waking up after 7 a.m., a passer-by here and there, cultural heritage standing tall, as well as the guardian of the region – Our Miraculous Lady of Sinj Church.
