Upon your arrival at the fields of the St Michael Horse Club (“KK Sv. Mihovil”), situated in a peaceful ambience of the Sinj Field, you will be warmly welcomed by the kind staff and welcome drink. You’ll have the opportunity to meet noble animals on whose back you can spend memorable lifetime moments. After a horse is prepared to riding, follows a 10-15 minutes test ride in a fenced area near a barn.
A trip to nature always brings the unforgettable experience to all riding fans, and trainers of the St Michael Horse Club tend to make special effort in order to capture with camera as many interesting moments as possible. For the most part track follows the course of the Cetina River, the longest middle Dalmatian river, that always finds a way to re-impress us with its startling beauty and pellucid water. Horse riding usually takes around 2.5 hours and can pretty much tire you out. For this reason, the trip includes a rest when you can have a nice meal prepared at a nearby rural household. Upon the rest, it is time to return to the barn. The first part of the track follows the course of the Cetina River, while the other part leads through village Košute to Bila glavica hill where you can “absorb” an enchanting view at Trilj and a great part of the Sinj Field. Afterwards comes the time to sett off and go back to the barn. Having unpacked the horses, people will relax and enjoy the welcome drink hoping this trip will remain an unforgettable memory.
Anyway, St Michael Horse Club includes riding school, sport horseback riding (equestrian sports), therapeutic horseback riding and terrain riding. Here are some information on each of the Club’s activities:
Both adults and children can apply for this school and should have at least 8 years. The individual approach is taken to focus on each participant. All activities are done with trained horses under the supervision of a licensed instructor by Croatian Horse Federation (KHS)
Show jumping, dressage horse riding and remote horseback riding are sport disciplines designed for all those who wish to acquire more experience and knowledge on equestrian sports. These trainings are performed under the supervision of a licensed sport trainer by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI).
THERAPEUTIC HORSEBACK RIDING
For many years now horseback riding has been recognized as a therapy form for numerous psychological and physical problems. This club implements therapeutic horseback riding programme under the supervision of a licensed instructor by Croatian Horse Federation (KHS).
Setting off on a horse to nature is a treat for every horse lover. All horseback riders who complete the riding school will have the opportunity to experience horseback riding in amazing ambience along the Cetina River.
Moreover, everyone who wishes just to ride a horse a little, can fulfil their wish at the St Michael Horse Club (in this case there are no age limits when children are concerned since they usually ride ponies). The Club also organizes seven day trips for more experienced horseback riders who can explore in this way the wider area of the Cetina Region. Horseback riding is carried out to the Cetina River source. Therefore, if you are in to something new and wish perhaps to acquire some different skills while exploring and enjoying breathtaking scenery such as one in the Cetina Region at the same time, why don’t you head to the Sinj Field?
