Zadar city bridge…

The city bridge dating back to 1962, with the length of 152.2 metres, and the width of 6 metres, brings the newly built neighbourhoods and the peninsula together thus representing the most popular pedestrian crossing in Zadar. It is a bridge which was not meant to be a moveable one which in turn made large ships seek other routes. When the lights were installed on the fence in the first decade of the 21st century, this structure became even more aesthetically pleasing during the night. Before the bridge was built, there were two other in its place – the first one dates back to 1928, and the second, a floating bridge, to 1949.

Today, the Zadar city bridge is alive with people who have been crossing it for more than 90 years, thus reaching Poluotok and Voštarnica, and taking in millions of visitors each year. We suggest you try it out for yourself.
