Once a coronation town of Croatian kings, Biograd na Moru (‘Biograd at/by the Sea) is a tourist mecca, but also a nautical centre in the very heart of the Adriatic coast. Being the capital town of medieval Croatian kings, Biograd particularly flourished, and in 1102 a coronation of Croatian-Hungarian king Koloman even took place in Biograd. Numerous material evidence of turbulent and rich history of the area around Biograd are stored in a rather interesting Native Museum Biograd. Even though Biograd is a relatively small town, it is indisputably a history source among which sepulchral monuments are probably the most prominent ones.
