Rogoznica – so unique

Rogoznica is geographically situated in the centre of Dalmatian coast and it presents the most peaky part of Croatian land which penetrates deep into the Adriatic sea. The very position of Rogoznica is also interesting because it divides northern and southern part of the Adriatic coast and that is clearly evident in specific climatological features of this area, since at the Rogoznica cape Planka one can witness a direct collision of different climates, winds and sea gulfs, a true battle between ‘bora and jugo’. The position of Rogoznica makes it the perfect safe harbour in the Adriatic coast. Moreover, it is an excellent starting point for all one-day tours to surrounding areas, from Dubrovnik in the south to the National Park Plitvice in the north.

This area is full of traces of human existence over the past centuries, namely, potsherds of ceramic pots, amphorae, roofing tiles, money, tombs, grave gods, sepulchral monuments, parts of stone sarcophagus, etc. These archaeological findings date back to the ancient and late ancient times. If you think of visiting Rogoznica, make sure you explore the beauty of the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, yacht harbour Marina Frapa, the Eye of the Dragon’s Lake with its distinctive flora and fauna, miraculous and mysterious cape Planka (cape Ploča) – a place where bora and jugo collide, a Museum in the Deep Blue, famous painting of the Lady of the Chapel, the Museum of life in the heart of Dalmatia, aquarium in the open sea and many other interesting sights. Active vacation in addition to activities like bicycling, remarkable beaches and supreme gastronomic offer will surely encourage you to visit so unique Rogoznica.
