I’m one of those people who, from an early age, have been saying they’d design and decorate their own gorgeous two-storey apartment, you know, following the latest New York trend, and adding a view of the sea, as well as my own desires in the mix.
At some point in your life, you have probably imagined what your dream apartment would look like… a special place you can call your own where all your needs would be met. We live in a fast paced world, one we can’t control, where our everyday lives are full of magazines and media coverage that bring us pictures and ideas that in turn just add fuel to the fire when this dream of ours is concerned, and enhance over and over again our desire to try and make this not so easy project a reality.
And so, after a while you realize – home is where the heart is. This isn’t just one of those articles that tries to persuade you into believing in some ideals set long ago, and quotations written in eternity, but simply an honest advice that wishes you to make the best of the space you have.
You don’t need a lot to do so – a few colorful details here and there, a carpet, lamp, vase, flower, interesting looking inscription or one of your pics (which is what I’d choose). Play with the smallest details and you’ll turn you home into a more pleasant living space in no time!
