Our Lady of Health Church is a very popular church in Split. Current church is relatively new, with a dedication dating in the y. 1937. It is located in the same area of the former 18th century church, at the Gajo Bulat Square, eastern from the Croatian National Theatre building in Split. This modern church was built according to the project of an architect Lavoslav Horvat. It is larger than the former one, out of which one baroque bell tower has remained preserved, and a monastery building, that was extended somewhere in the early 90s when a church collection was also built.
On a large wall surface behind the altar is a masterful fresco of Jesus Christ as the King, by an academic painter Ivo Dulčić. The faithful also like to say their prayers in front of a painting of Our Lady of Health, situated on the left side of the church. Special festivity and a procession takes place on the 21st November, also commemorated as the feast of Lady of Health when the faithful gather at the holy mass.
We also need to note that all sacraments sometimes take place in the monastery church, Our Lady of Health Chapel. Additionally, church is known for having confessions that last all day and the charitable activities of Panis Vitae Fund.
