Ladder shelves ? Great idea!

Whether we’re living in a small or a big apartment, with time the number of things we own slowly increases and the storage problem arises.
If these are objects of sentimental value which are there to stay, we can find a creative solution for the use of furniture and other objects around us and create extra space for their storage. This article offers you suggestions which can stimulate your imagination and help you make better use of your space.
Shelves of different shapes and design, whether wall shelves or stand-alone shelves , offer a lot of space for books, magazines, flower vases or family photographs.
Long and open stand-alone shelves can be used as a substitute for partition walls in multi-functional spaces. Moreover, they can be close to your sofa, armchair or a table so you’ll have instant access to certain objects. However, make sure you don’t overstock so as to avoid possible clutter. In case you have too many items or you don’t want others to see some of them, you can opt for closed shelves or cover them with decorative curtains which will also make the space feel more alive. Instead of standard shelving, you can also use regular wooden or aluminum ladders. If you put them against a wall, you can keep your clothes there or magazines, purses… It’s up to you.
When it comes to storage ideas for small items, boxes are an excellent choice. The market offers boxes of different measurements and design so everybody gets to find something they like. Be playful – combine different colours and patterns and stack them on top of each other.
Expressing your creative side by hanging things on walls is yet another way to have your own little art exhibition. For instance, if you don’t know where to put your jewellery, and you want to avoid using boxes, try picturing it hanging on your bedroom walls. Get a frame that matches your room and a cork board where you’ll put nails and of course, pieces of jewellery. If you don’t really like the idea of using a cork board, you can simply screw hooks and hang jewellery there, and top it all off with some sort of wall sticker. This is a practical solution for storing that favourite necklace of yours, a bracelet or earrings you like to show off, and at the same time, it also helps improve the aesthetics of your space and gives it that personal touch.
In a sea of ideas, these are just a few… Every space and people who use it form their own little universe with different needs and wants. With some effort, and if necessary professional advice, they’ll be able to make their own unique works of art.
