There’s no right answer, but one thing’s for sure – it has to be an unforgettable time for the newly-weds. As for us, two romantic souls, it was Santorini – a breathtaking Greek island which is known as the most picturesque and popular Greek island among the tourists.
It is an island that has the ability to awaken all your senses, and at the same time, create a unity of harmony, peace and even fantasy.
This irresistible combination proved to be just what we needed on our honeymoon. Santorini is an island of volcanic origin with black sand beaches; add the sapphire blue Aegean Sea and an abundance of small white houses with blue doors and windowpanes, erected on cliffs, and every picture will look like a postcard.
Apart from the beautiful countryside, the island offers various activities, booming nightlife, as well as secluded beaches. Greek cuisine, welcoming hosts, riding donkeys, climbing the still active volcano, and of course, watching the sunset – these are just some of the beautiful images forever embedded in our honeymoon mosaic.
