What you see is a photograph from the window of one small, average town apartment in Šibenik. And, it wouldn’t be different than any other view if it weren’t for this photo.
Any space, regardless of its purpose, needs to have its soul… And what you see from the window pane will surely enrich your soul. Every view counts – it is one of the essential elements of the space in general. Environment and view are constituent parts of your interior that greatly reflect its character. The atmosphere can be created through an openness of image and interactive relation with environment, thus largely influencing a person’s attitude to space and the way he feels in the very space too.
These views connect residents with their surrounding and bring an outdoor ambient into one’s image. Even the smallest pit can alter completely the character of the space in which we live. One framed view gives another perspective to the air, light, scents, sounds, street or nature life.
These tree images are taken from the same apartment… Imagine the immense wealth of views! For the moment one thinks nothing else is needed in an apartment but these views.
However, it is not that simple to always have this beautiful view captured. It is not something that can be bought or changed and because of it, you need to be able to adapt to the place where you live… Do not forget, this view doesn’t need to have its focal point, contours of town or to be in line with whatever horizon it is (sea level, forest and similar). The theme of your space and its character and soul can in a playful way form a specific view of some near object/space/garden/nature or, if the position is not that specified, an ideal view can be hidden in details and elements of our immediate vicinity, and this can sometimes even be more special, liveable and captivating.
A view is always a view, into a soul, depth of something, which is why there is no “bad” view …. merely poorly used image (environment) and wrongly positioned frame, i.e. hole in space. Because, everything around us has its essence, its beauty and specificity. We simply need to carefully observe and add some will and effort so this soul (essence) is recognized in a right way…
