   by  Ahmad Fuad Morad

If you’re a woman and like to take care of your looks, you must’ve heard of this beautiful red flower plant by now. It’s been around for thousands of years as a hair dye substance and body paint. You guessed it right – it’s henna. It comes from Africa, and today it can be found on other continents as well. This is an ideal hair dye because it doesn’t contain any chemicals which cause hair damage. Moreover, we can dye our hair in different colours thanks to the so-called black, blue and neutral henna.
The neutral henna is actually a green powder produced from the Cassia Obovata plant, and it’s used for blond hair. Black henna is the most common mix of indigo and henna, and is used for dyeing your hair vivid black. Henna is the ideal choice to get rid of the grey hair invasion.

HOW TO DYE YOUR HAIR USING HENNA?
Firstly, you need to decide what colour you’re going for. Add black tea if you want dark red hair colour, hibiscus tea for bright red colour, and water for rich orange-red hair colour. The liquid of your choice has to be hot. The next step is to add henna powder and mix everything until it turns into a paste. If you want your hair to be extra healthy, put some olive oil in the mix, and then apply it to your hair. After that, wrap your hair in an old towel, and leave it for an hour. The colour intensity depends on the time the mix remains on your hair. When the time’s up, wash your hair thoroughly, so as to avoid colouring your clothes or linens in the process. Think twice before you make henna your hair dye choice, especially if you’re a blond, because if by any chance you don’t like the end product, getting rid of the reddish pigment will take time. The only solution is to wait for your hair to grow out. If your natural hair is dark or brown, and you want to make it look more shiny, and at the same time more healthy, don’t hesitate to try this magical flower on your hair.
