How to cope with migraine?

If you’ve experienced periods of that annoying, incessant headache, than something so awkward as migraine is nothing new to you. Serious pain, nausea, vomiting even describe a true agony of the person suffering from a migraine, simultaneously disabling him to normally perform everyday life activities. Many types of food we use on a daily basis are rich in histamine, for which it has long been known to cause various allergy symptoms. Also, certain foods have been implicated to trigger migraine like cured meat products that contain harmful nitrites which make blood vessels to grow. On the other hand, foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids help treating migraine. Blue fish like European pilchard, picarel and mackerel should be at least once on your weekly menu. Of course, apart from your food choices, you should also pay attention to the time of eating. Small meals are crucial for your physical health since in this way you will maintain your normal blood levels and avoid hypoglycemia. Furthermore, acupuncture proved to be another useful assistance in dealing with migraine. If the unbearable headache catches you while you are at home, you can do certain things to alleviate the pain. Prepare some warm water and use one part for making a foot bath and the rest of the water use to make a compress for the forehead. This will narrow your blood vessels and reduce the blood flow to the head, which will in turn ease up the pain. However, problems with migraine require a complete change of lifestyle, which is why it is important you attempt to introduce permanent changes into your everyday routine. For instance, start exercising yoga, meditate or just stretch every day.
